Implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss and can truly change your life.
An implant is a titanium screw that is placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth root. It is a simple procedure performed by our implant surgeon under local anesthesia. After fitting the implants, we may recommend waiting between two to three months for your mouth to heal. This is to allow the implant to integrate firmly in the jaw bone. Later, a suitable new tooth solution is then secured to the implant, usually a porcelain crown (or bridge if several teeth are missing) providing you with a natural looking tooth replacement.
As placing an implant is a surgical procedure. It usually requires preplanning with xrays and/or CT scans and an overall medical evaluation, prior to its placement, to ensure long term success and predictability of the implant based rehabilitation.
